Join Family Visa
For non-EEA nationals wishing to join family members who are legally resident in Ireland.
New for 2026: Processing times have been reduced to 8-12 weeks for complete applications.
Dependent Visa
For dependents of Critical Skills Employment Permit holders, Start-up Entrepreneur (STEP) holders, and researchers.
2026 Update: New income requirements of €35,000 per annum for the sponsor have been introduced.
Family Reunification
For refugees and those with international protection status to bring immediate family members to Ireland.
2026 Update: Application window extended to 24 months from recognition of refugee status.

Application Process
Complete Online Application
Complete the online application form through the INIS portal. New for 2026: All family visa applications must be submitted through the online portal.
Pay Application Fee
Pay the non-refundable application fee of €100 per applicant (2026 rate).
Submit Supporting Documents
Upload all required supporting documents to the online portal.
Biometrics Appointment
Schedule and attend a biometrics appointment at the nearest Irish Visa Application Center.
Application Review
Your application will be reviewed by Irish immigration authorities.
Visa Issuance
If approved, collect your visa and travel to Ireland.
